This is my 2nd cordless rechargeable lamp. It's tough, deciding which one I like better: My first one, that looks like a candlestick with a black shade (3 settings, 5000mAh) or this one (2 settings, 8000mAh).I like that it's USB powered (multiple power stations in my house) and that the power button is at the lamp's base so there's less chance of inadvertently turning it on.The packaging was excellent: styrofoam molded to the lamp body, keeping it well protected; 2 USB power cords, 1 short and 1 long.My main reason for getting this lamp was to use it outside where there’s no power source and for power outages. The lamp is sturdy and attractive. The lamp is rechargeable and has a small footprint so, it can be used almost anywhere. However, I think the price is on the high end for such a small lamp.Just got to use this during a tornado warning when the power went out. It provided a good amount of light in the basement. I appreciate that it is a downlight which lights the surface and is not glaring light in your eyes.I love this type of lamp so much that I got another one from a different brand (slightly shorter and different color)!This lamp is perfect for my needs - I needed a lamp that was easy to move from place to place, lightweight, cordless, and bright enough to be able to accurately see to do my nails. This lamp checks all those boxes and it's a nice matte gold color to boot! I don't particularly like shiny gold for lamps so was happy this was matte and not shiny.It has two brightness options - all you do is press the power button to turn it on the max brightness and then push the power button again for the lowest brightness.This is a very modern looking, sleekly-designed lamp. It's a simple design that I think fits into any room and decor just fine. I like the addition of the non-slip rubbery bottom...you never know when your cat is going to feel feisty and try to slide if off the table (she has already tried).Overall super happy with this purchase and will definitely buy more. Might get these to replace my kids' bedside lights because these are so much easier to operate and they take up such little space!I had seen this lamp used at a swanky outdoor garden restaurant in Palm Beach, Florida while at an evening dinner. Every table had one and it was so pretty. Initially we thought the restaurant put in electricity to light every table. We were surprised to see it was battery operated because it doesn't look like a cheap plastic lamp. I came home and started hunting for this lamp because I wanted one for my balcony table. While I don't think these would withstand a tropical storm, they have a very heavy base that prevents them from tipping over. They are plenty bright, even only one, to dine in even the darkest of night. It came already charged so I got to use it immediately and I love it. One thing, some of the other reviews say it has a remote. Mine did not have one, and the description doesn't say one is included. For my use, I don't need one anyway and am glad it doesn't have it. It would just be another remote I'd have in the drawer and then not remember what it was for. This is a great lamp for outdoor use!I wanted to add a little warmth to my cold, gray cubicle with lighting (now that I have to return to the office and leave my wonderful window view at home) and wanted to keep it non-fussy. I instantly liked the simplicity and weight, not to mention the warmth of the gold. The 2 brightness levels are nice, though I'll be leaving it on the brighter level. I actually want more of these -- bedside would be nice, or on an end table.
