- Canyon’s premium natural teak hardwood curated by Arhaus is untreated and unfinished; its organic color tones are honed by finely sanding into a smoothed surface.
- Natural teak highlights organic variations in color and graining. These characteristics may differ between pieces.
- Natural teak may display small splits, knots, joint lines, or other features, adding character to your piece without affecting its quality or performance.
- Over time, natural teak’s warm, golden color eventually fades to a silvery-grey patina. Weathering will begin immediately when left uncovered and in daylight.
- Pieces in our Weathered Fawn finish are hand-applied using a wire brush to subtly distress the wood followed by staining the pigment onto the surface.
- For Weathered Fawn pieces, small imperfections may expose underlying teak wood. If left uncovered, finishes will gradually fade and acquire a beautiful silvery-grey patina (typical of untreated teak wood), adding unique character to your piece.
- Teak hardwood contains natural oils that repel insects, prevent drying, and resist moisture. Teak is also resistant to fungal decay, rotting, and warping due to temperature or humidity.
